Granite Links, located just seven miles of Boston, is a “Top Ten Best New Upscale Golf Course in the Country” as voted by Golf Digest. Twenty-seven challenging holes of links style golf offer the most scenic vistas anywhere, including breathtaking views of Boston’s skyline to the North, the Harbor Islands to the South and East, and the Blue Hills Reservation to the West.

This golf course was constructed on the former site of Quincy’s granite industry. Many of America’s most well-known statues and monuments were sculpted from granite quarried here. In fact, the irst commercial railroad in America was founded in Quincy in 1826 to transport Quincy granite to Charlestown for the construction of the Bunker Hill Monument. Today, one can see portions of the original 1826 granite railway. While the quarries themselves are popular with hikers and rock climbers, several of the quarries have also been filled and reshaped into the present golf club. Completed in 2006, after more than six years of construction, the multi-million dollar project used 900,000 truckloads of dirt from Boston’s “Big Dig” highway project to fill 450 acres of old quarries and two former landills.

ASAP is a full service outpatient program that provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, brief interventions, group and individual therapy, pharmacotherapies, and follow-up and referral for substance-using adolescents and their families. Founded in 2000, the ASAP clinic was formed in order to respond to the hundreds of requests for assistance that were received from parents and primary care clinicians. Since its inception, ASAP has served hundreds of families in the New England area with well over 120 visits per year. ASAP is the only program of its kind located at a Children’s Hospital in the United States. However, ASAP is not self-supporting and needs help from friends like you so that no family is ever turned away in their hour of need.
